Rachel Davis Midgette died December 26, 2009 at Universal Health Care of North Raleigh, at the age of 89.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Kaye Midgette Porter and her husband Paul A. Porter of Kinston, NC.

A Memorial Service, celebrating her life and memory, was conducted by Rev. Mary Harris Todd at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30 at Morton Memorial Presbyterian Church.
