NASHVILLE - Mazell Batchelor Pridgen, 84, passed away, Saturday, December 12, 2009. She was born October 9, 1925 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Larry and Emma Coggin Batchelor. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gary Pridgen and several brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, Charles Pridgen, one son, Joel Pridgen of Nashville, and three grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 7:00-8:30PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Graveside Services were Monday, December 14 2009 at 11:00AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Coffey officiating.
