CHICAGO, IL - Louise Silver Battle, 84, formerly of Rocky Mount, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009.

Funeral service was Friday, Aug. 28, at 12 p.m. at Haywood Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Leonard officiating. Burial followed in the Haywood Church Cemetery.

Surviving: Daughter, Ruby Hawkins LaVere of Chicago, Il; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday, Aug. 27, from 3 - 8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
