ROCKY MOUNT -Annie Louise May Joyner, 82, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006. She was born in Nash County, August 30, 1924 daughter of the late Troy Young May and Annie Hendricks May.

Her parents, Troy Young May and Annie Hendricks May Barnes, son, Donald Earl Joyner, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Ira Earl Joyner (61 years of marriage) of the home; granddaughter, Rebecca J. Moss of Wilson; 3 grandsons; sister, Hazel May West of Battleboro; and three great-grandchildren, Cara Moss, Madison Hux.

The family received friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2006 a Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 1912 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery.
