NASHVILLE - Katherine Louise Hurdle, 85, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009. She was born July 25, 1924 in Whaleyville, VA. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Lelia Fraust. She was preceded in death by Perley C. Hurdle.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Kerr and husband James of Sharpsburg, GA and Earlene H. Brown and husband Curtis of Cary; two grandsons, a great grandchild; and her brother, John Vernon Frost of Portsmouth, VA.

The family received friends from 7 to 9 pm Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. Funeral services were held 11 am Friday, July 31, 2009 in the Chapel Mausoleum at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
