Jimmie, born July 15, 1923 to the late John Thorne and Ola Melton Boseman, was a life long resident of the Benvenue Community.  He married Amy Elizabeth Inscoe on November 17, 1947.  Lib preceded Jimmie in death on February 2, 1985, after 38 years of marriage.

Jimmie spent several years farming with Jack, his dad, and working as the grounds-keeper at Benvenue Country Club and at a golf course in Charlotte, NC.  From 1952 until 1980 he owned and operated Boseman’s Texaco and Esso/Exxon Service Stations on Raleigh Road.  After retiring, he and Lib enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada with close friends.

Jimmie is survived by his four children who consider him to be the greatest dad of all times, Rusty Boseman (and Linda) of Battleboro, NC, Susan Boseman Roberts (and Richard) of Madison Conn., Marsha Boseman Langley (and Keith), and Julie Boseman Hauser of Clayton, NC.; six grandchildren, Scott Boseman, Elizabeth Bottoms, Brad Langley, Todd Langley, Kathryn Roberts, and Thorne Hauser; and nine great grandchildren, Nathan, Chason, Lynn Marie, Austin, Addison, AJ, Libby, Carter and Lexie.  His brothers and sister are Lyman H.
