William P. Coit, 88, died Saturday, September 30, 2006.

Services will be held Friday, October 6, 2006 at 11 a..m at Union Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 7-8 p.m. at Zion Cross Batpist Church in Whitakers.

Survivors include daughters Lena Mae Edwards of Nashville, Erma Lee Cooper of Tarboro and Sharon M. Douglas of Rocky Mount; son Ben Bunn of Washington, D.C.; sister Annie Lee Williams of Rocky Mount; 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great grandchildren.
