ROCKY MOUNT - Clarence Lawrence, 92,  died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Heritage Hospital in Tarboro.

The funeral service was Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 1 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Battleboro with Rev. Samuel D. Clemons, Jr. officiating. Interment followed immediately after the service in the church cemetery.

Visitation was 4-6 p.m. Friday, June 5 at the Rocky Mount location of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.
