NASHVILLE - Edna Kornegay Booth, 88 passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009.  She was born in Johnston County, May 14, 1921 to the late Herbert Kitchen and Bettie Pittman Kornegay.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Booth, two brothers, and five sisters.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Jamie Ruth Booth; and several nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Red Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Rucker Burnette and Rev. Jim Upchurch officiating.  Burial followed at Red Oak Cemetery.  The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

 In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Red Oak Baptist Church Building Fund, 5515 Red Oak Rd., Battleboro, NC  27809.
