ROCKY MOUNT – Willard Glen Strickland, 73, died Sept. 16, 2006. Funeral services were held Sept. 18 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations. Burial followed in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

He was the son of the late Otha and Ruth Strickland and was preceded in death by his sisters, Alice Calloway and Elaine Quick. He was born in Nash County on Feb. 26, 1933.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jean Lamm Strickland of the home; one son, David Glen Strickland and wife Annie Strickland of Nashville; one brother, Eugene Strickland and wife Leilani of Samaria; one sister, Doris Collins and husband Jesse of Tab, Va.; and three grandchildren.
