ROBERT HENRY PRINCE
OXFORD - Robert Henry Prince, 76, a resident of 4221-C Old Route 75, Stem, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at his home.
A native of Nash County, he was the son of the late Homer and Fannie Bell Harper Prince. He was of the Baptist faith, an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and was a retired salesman.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, April 20 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. James Hughes. Burial was in South Granville Memorial Gardens.
Surviving: wife, Jamie Wesley Prince; daughters, Cindy Davis (David) of Elm City, Denise Hughes (Dennis) of Nashville, Melody Vester (Richard) of Nashville, Lisa Thomas of Malden, Bonnie Brown (Danny) of Oxford; sons, Steve Prince of Rocky Mount, Tim Prince (Kim) of Rocky Mount, Steve Jernigan (Kim ) of Butner, Christopher Prince (Gina) of Macclesfield, Walter Prince (Sharon) of Durham, Edward Jernigan of Creedmoor; sisters, Mary Ellum of Greensboro, Pearl Glover of Pinetops, Dorothy Lane of Sharpsburg, Carol Clark of Nashville; brothers, Grover Prince of Rocky Mount, James Prince of Winston Salem; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Eva Taylor and 2 brothers, Linwood and David Prince and his first wife, Sylvia McDaniel Prince, preceded him in death.
Visitation was held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Eakes Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
