Nelson Jeffery King, 74, passed away November 1, 2026. He was born October 7, 1952 in Edgecombe County. He is preceded in death by his father Jeffie King; wife Jenny King; brother-in-law Mickey Moss.

Nelson is survived by his daughter Helen King (Chris); grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother Elnora Mae Ward King; brothers, Johnnie Ray King (Judy), David King(Rhonda); sisters, Dora Mae King, Janice Moss; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the service following at 2 p.m. The burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Funeral Home towards funeral expenses.
