Melvin Ray Edmondson Sr., 72, passed away October 27, 2026, He was born February 23, 1954 to the late Jesse and Dolether Edmondson. He is also preceded in death by his wife Celia Edmondson; son Howard "Mousie" Edmondson; brothers Punkin and Tiny Edmondson; sister Duck Copeland.

He is survived by his sons Johnnie Edmondson (Michelle) and Melvin Edmondson Jr.; daughters Sandra and Ernestine Edmondson; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Kim Curtis; brothers, Keith Edmondson (Darnell), Richard Edmondson( Susan), John Killebrew (Lee); sisters, Deborah Williford (Dan), Peggy Macklin, Ann Ferrell (Pat) and Amy Joyner ( Boot); several nieces and nephews.

A service was held October 30, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial followed at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
