Cynthia "Cindy" Miller Dawson, age 73, passed away September 20, 2026. She was born in Wilson County on November 29, 1953 to Claude Earl Miller and Esther Ann Brantley Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tracy Edwards.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eric L. Dawson, III; sister, Jennie Miller Edwards; brother-in-law, John Michael Dawson (June), all of Rocky Mount; nephews and great-nephews; and many extended relatives.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Red Oak Elementary School Gymnasium, 5603 Red Oak Road, Red Oak. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
