Nellie Frances Wood Jones, 91, passed away on September 3, 2026. Born on March 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Wood and Beddie Cooley Wood.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Bottoms (Scott); her brother, Charlie Wood; and two sisters, Shirley Bass and Ann Edwards (Harold); 10 grandchildren; 16 great‑grandchildren; 14 great‑great‑grandchildren; two great‑great‑great‑grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Nellie is preceded in death by her husband Clifton Jones, her son, Edward Jones, and two daughters, Hilda Jones and Cindy Jones.

A funeral service was held September 5, 2026, at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial followed at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
