LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Bennett Hicks, age 53, who died on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, were held July 21, 2026 from the Pope's Chapel United Church of Christ in Franklinton. Burial followed in the Pope's Chapel Church cemetery.

He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Young of Charlotte, Alexis Hicks of Sanford, Ariel Hicks of Florida, Sierra Hicks and Kalisa Hicks both of Zebulon; mother, Alma Person (Mark) of Louisburg; sister, Lisa Hicks-Jones (Doriena) of Franklinton; brother, Vernon C. Hicks (Shelandria) of Ruskin, Fl,; three grandchildren.
