Melvin Patrick Howard, 78, passed away July 13, 2026.

He was the son of the late Melvin Piland Howard and Viola Bailey Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph "Little Joe" Howard, and his sister, Gloria "Bumpie" Howard Barnes.

Pat is survived by his wife of 24 years, Julie Carpenter Howard. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Audrey C. Long and Connie Howard; his brother-in-law, Sidney Barnes; his nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral services were held July 16, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Toby Easley officiating.
