Marvin Haywood Baker, 67, passed away June 28, 2026. He was born April 17, 1959 to the late John and Ruby Baker. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Bonnie B. Batchelor and Ruby B. Young.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Baker; sons Benjamin, Bryce and Jonathan Baker; daughter Melissa B. Pullen (Brian); six grandchildren; his companion Bella; sisters Faye B. Whitley (Hilton), Paulette B. Brown (Bob); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
