Peggy Ann Searcy May, age 90, passed away on June 17, 2026. Peggy was born on January 18, 1936, in Nash County to the late Spurgeon William Searcy and Augusta Mae Holt Searcy.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; her son-in-law, Dwight Adams: her sister, Christine Glasgow; and her brothers, Wilson, Howard, Phillip, Odelle, Raymond, and Robert; as well as two nephews and one niece.

She is survived by her daughter, Christie May Adams; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Red Oak Cemetery.
