BAILEY - Teresa Jayne Powell, 63, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026. Funeral services were held June 8, 2026, at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Elm City. Interment followed in the Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. Pastor Shawn Garnett officiated.

Teresa is survived by her husband, William "Billy" Allen Powell; sisters, Vicky Speight of Jacksonville, Florida and Debbie Mitchell and husband, Donald of Kenly; brother, Andy Speight and wife, Beth of Kenly; her nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephews and step-son, Ricky Starling and wife, Marcie of Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Peggy Speight and her sister, Cathy Speight.
