NASHVILLE - Betsy Wadsworth Weaver, age 87, passed away on May 11, 2026. Born in Wayne County on August 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James Alexander Wadsworth and Sally Elizabeth Rhodes Wadsworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Weaver; her son, Danny Weaver; her sisters, Shirley Wilkinson and Pat Smart; and her granddaughter, Angie Webb.

Betsy is survived by her daughters, Beth Weaver, Virginia Weaver LeQuire (Randy), Vicky Weaver Sykes (Ken) and Larue Weaver, her son David Weaver; her 13 grandchildren, her 24 great grandchildren and her two great-great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Freda Weaver and several nieces, nephews, adopted sons and daughters.

A service was held May 13, 2026 at Nashville Church of God with Pastor Stanley Gaskins and Pastor Bruce Brumfield officiating.

A private family inurnment service will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Wall of Faith Niches.
