NASHVILLE - Connie "Lynette" Hinshaw Saunders passed away on May 8, 2026. She was 70 years old. She was born in Liberty, North Carolina, in Alamance County.

Lynette is survived by her daughter, Morgan Simmons (Jonathan); two grandchildren; three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Earl Hinshaw; her mother, Ola Ann Hinshaw; and her brother, Gene Raymond Hinshaw.

Memorial donations are appreciated and may be made to Crohns Colitis Foundation.

Lynette's family will receive friends during a special time of remembrance, from 2 - 4 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Arlington Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount.
