Whitakers - Claude "Courtlon" Thomas, age 63, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Born in Halifax County on November 14, 1962, he was the son of the late Albert Courtlon Thomas and Myrtle Ellen Wommack Thomas.

Courtlon is survived by his wife, Tammy Lynn Whichard Thomas; his children, Joshua Courtlon Thomas (Meghan Talbott), Taylor Law (Drake), Skyler Woolard (Carrie), and Casey Wilkens; two grandchildren; his sisters, Amy Davidson Wright (Louis Hinson) and Rhonda Thomas Hendricks (Brad); several nieces, nephews, extended family members.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Leon's Barn, 3438 Batchelor Road, Nashville. Visitation with the family will be from 1-4 p.m. prior to the service at Leon's Barn.
