RALEIGH - Irene Jackson Williams, 87, passed away, Saturday, March 21, 2009. She was born February 17, 1922 in Greeleyville, South Carolina. Irene was the daughter of the late, Willie and Clara Washington Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Williams, Sr., four sons, Curtis O., Donald R., Walter L. and Altonberg M. Williams, two brothers, Henry and Willie Jackson, Jr., one sister, Mary Tunstall.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Annie Moody of Nashville, Leroy Williams and wife Celeste of Fort Washington, MD, Andonia Harrison and husband George of Anchorage, AK, twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and four daughters-in-law, Bettie, Myrtle, Elzera and Glynda Williams.

Visitation was Friday, March 27, 2009 from 6:00-9:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service was Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial followed at Northeastern Cemetery.
