Momeyer - Jefferson "Jeffery" Bass, age 44, passed away February 11, 2026. He was born in Nash County on September 10, 1981.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Horace Jefferson and Peggy Jefferson Hill; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Bette Bass; grandparents-in-law, William Clyde and Linda Rebecca Pridgen and uncle, Roddy Bass.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jessica Wells Bass; daughter, Jesslynn Grace Bass; parents, Wesley and Pat Jefferson Bass of Momeyer; sister, Megan Bass Finch (Christopher) of Spring Hope; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Cyndy Wells of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Erica Smith (Matthew) of Kinston; brother-in-law, Trey Wells (Haley) of Rocky Mount;grandparents-in-law, Richard and Doris Wells; and his nephews, aunts, cousins and extended relatives.

A memorial service was held February 15, 2026 at Momeyer Baptist Church.
