ROCKY MOUNT - Allen Keith Vernon, 66, known as K-Boy, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1959. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Vernon, his sister Gail Parker, and brothers-in-law Robert Poythress and Richard Gregory.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Vernon; his children, Crystal Fly (Luke), Wendy Vernon, and Blake Vernon (Brittany); eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Nellie Vernon; sisters, Melisa Poythress, Michelle Weatherspoon, Debbie Sherrod, and Pam Griffin; and many nieces, nephews.

A service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, with Pastor Lin Robinson officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30-1:45 p.m., with the service in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.
