Janice Faye Howell, 84, of Nash County, passed away January 27, 2026. Born December 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James Gardner and Roberta Cooper Gardner.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Howell; her brother, Jimmy Gardner; and her grandson, Will Hurley.

She is survived by her three children, Gene Martin and wife Lynn, Woody Martin and wife Stacey, and Tammy Forrester and husband Andy; seven grandchildren; five great‑grandchildren.
