NASHVILLE - Richard Earp, 61, passed away, Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was born September 26, 1947 in Nash County. He was the son of the late, Hassell and Estelle Griffin Earp. Richard was a loving and caring husband and father. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Clinton Earp and a sister, Judy Earp.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 33 years, Diane Earp, one son, Bryan Richard Earp of Nashville, two daughters, Barbara Jean Earp of Zebulon, Brandee House Chappell and husband Larry of Nashville, six grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Joshua Chappell, Courtney Faith Earp, Blake Earp & Hannah Alexis Smith.

Visitation was Friday, March 20, 2009 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
