Shirley Ann Jones Purkerson, 80, passed away December 9, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry Lee Purkerson, Jr.,; her parents Elvertis and Blonnie Jones; brothers Nelson and Ray Jones and sister Audrey Chavez.

She is survived by her children Kimbol Purkerson (Darrell)of Nashville TN, Sherry Purkerson (April) of Spring Hope; two grandchildren; her sisters Brenda Jones of Clayton and Sandra Hanshew of Rural Retreat, VA; many nieces, nephews, cousins.

A memorial service was held at the home on December 13 officiated by Jeff Wiggins.
