BAILEY - Joyce Ann Duke, 78, passed away on August 10, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1946.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Parker and husband, Craig of Clayton; two grandchildren; sister, Jan Kemp and husband, William of Middlesex; brother, Tony Matthews of Bailey; sisters-in-law, Joyce Matthews of Middlesex and Rhonda Matthews of Middlesex and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Matthews. She was also proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Wade Duke and a daughter, Amy Joy Duke; siblings Robert Matthews, Jr, Peggy Matthews, Reuben Matthews, and Danny Matthews also proceeded her in death.

The family will receive friends at Stony Hill Free Will Baptist Church located at 9649 Stoney Hill Church Road, Middlesex, North Carolina at 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery in Bailey, North Carolina. Rev. Ricky Anderson will officiate.
