Lila Chichester Robertson, 91 passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009.

She was born June 14, 1917 in Halifax County to the late James Peterson and Lela Dickens Chichester.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Nicholson Robertson, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by sons, Doug Robertson and wife, Betsey of Nashville; Horace Robertson and wife, Eunice of Cary, Richard Robertson and spouse, Peter Litwinowicz of San Francisco, CA.; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces        and nephews.

A funeral service was held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Blake Dempsey officiating.  Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends at from 11:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
