ROCKY MOUNT - Major Earl Edwards, Sr., age 58, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Services were held June 21, 2025, at Rocky Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 988 Sykes Road, Louisburg. Internment followed in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Edwards Hinton of Nashville; one son, Major Earl Edwards, Jr. of Laurinburg; three grandchildren; siblings, Wanda Dawson (Martin) of Spring Hope, Patricia Edwards of Raleigh, Katrina Golden (Stephan) of Raleigh, Johnnie Williams (Angela) of Louisburg, and Tanisha Clemons of Spring Hope; one niece; one nephew.
