BATTLEBORO - Janice Bottoms Holder, age 80, passed away June 1, 2025. Born in Edgecombe County on May 4, 1945, she was the daughter of the late George Burnice Bottoms and Lucy Polly Williams Bottoms. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Holder; her baby boy, William Turner Patterson, Jr.; her brothers, George Alton Bottoms and Robert "Bobby" Bottoms; and her sister, Katie Taylor.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Cindy Prince and husband, Tommy; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren,; her brother, William Rodger Bottoms; her sisters, Brenda B. Mott and Wanda Carpenter; Tonya Prince, Greg Prince and family, and extended family.

A service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Williams Family Cemetery on Floods Store Road in Rocky Mount. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
