WILSON - Margie W. Boykin passed away May 5, 2025. She was born in Nash County on April 15, 1932, to Samuel B. and Essie Mae Winstead. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband of almost sixty-six years, Horace Gay Boykin; great-grandsons, Joshua Lee Radford and William Clayton Dixon Powell; and several siblings.

She is survived by four children, Stacy Powell and husband, Stanley of Stanhope, Georgia Williams, Wanda Holland and husband, Ray, and Billy Boykin, all of Wilson; sister, Ruby Baker and husband, Lynn of Chesapeake, Virginia; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and and other extended relatives.

A service was held May 9, 2025 at Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
