Janet Yvonne Gardner, 83, passed away March, 7, 2025. She was born April 14, 1941 in Nash County to the late Charlie T. Eason and Thelma Langley Long. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by infant son, Scottie Weeks Joyner; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Odie Griffin.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Horace Gardner; daughter, Pamela Joyner Hinton ( Lance McGraw); sons, Joe Holland (Trish), Bobby Dean Joyner and Tony Joyner (Margaret); step-son, Barry Gardner; sister, Beverly Perry; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral services will be held 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Danny Eason and Pastor Nathaniel Williams officiating. Burial is to follow at Wells Family Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to West Mount. Baptist Church or to a charity of one's choice.
