NASHVILLE - Nellie Geraldine Vick, affectionately known as "Nub" to friends and family, age 89, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Born in Nash County on December 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Robert Vick and Geraldine Viverette Vick. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Benjamin Vick, David Vick, Paul Vick, Darcey Vick, Harvey Vick and Herbert Vick and her sister, Roberta Winstead. Nellie was from a family of 11 children of the Sandy Cross Community.

Nellie is survived by her sisters, Pearl Crumpler, Lois Perry and Wiverly Taylor, and husband, Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held January 22, 2025 at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Ray Vick and Rev. Jerry Braziel officiating. Burial will followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
