Castalia - Funeral services for James "Herbert" Evans, age 77, who died on Thursday, November 28, 2024, will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 1 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Andrew West officiating. All funeral attendees will be required to wear a mask per family request.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Silver Evans of the home; five daughters, Tojuana Townsend (Jeffrey) of Louisburg, Tosha Perreault (Jacques) of Colorado Springs, CO, Brandy Forbes (James) of Wake Forest, Jamie Wiggins (Jacopo) of Knightdale, Telecia Evans of the home; one son, Hervet Nakia Evans of Zebulon; one sister, Joyce Faye Coppedge (Sidney) of Nashville; four brothers, Lindsey Blake Evans (Doris) of Nashville, Arvid Lee Evans (Shirley) of Raleigh, Nevin Evans of Hollister, Andrew Evans (Ola Mae) of Nashville; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
