Mary Ruth Radford Bass, 86, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was born August 30, 1938 in Nash County to the late Percy and Lillian Bartholomew Radford. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Billy Bass; two sons, Daniel "Red" Bass and David Wayne Bryant; several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Charles Ray Bryant (Becky); daughters, Marie Young and Denise Bass Faircloth (David); two grandchildren; seven, great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held October 28, 2024 with Rev. Vernon Potter officiating at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
