NASHVILLE - John Earl Tant, age 84, passed away on October 9, 2024. Born in Franklin County on October 28, 1939, he was the son of the late Samuel Tant, and Clorie Tant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Carlyle Tant.

John is survived by his step-son, Eugene Carlyle and wife Vickie; his sister, Marie Ray; and his brothers, Billy Tant and Clyde Tant.

A funeral was held October 12, 2024 at Spring Hope Church of God with Pastor Larry Perry, Pastor Ron Brisson, and Rev. Larry Massey officiating. Burial followed the service at Church of New Life Church of God of Prophesy, Rolesville.
