NASHVILLE - Mary Christine Odom passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at the age of 98. She was born in Edgecombe County to Willard and Nellie Odom on April 20, 1926. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bobby, two great-nephews, Mitchell and Brandon, two brothers-in-law, Harry Barnhill and Ed Ward, and her niece, Gay.

She is survived by her sisters, Hilda Barnhill and Linda Ward; nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount with Rev. Jerome Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
