ROCKY MOUNT - Robert Louis "Bobby" Wells, Jr., age 68, passed away September 1, 2024. Born in Wilson County on February 20, 1956, he was the oldest son of the late Robert L. Wells, Sr. and Jean Wells Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Linda Gail Rose Wells.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Mark Allan Wells, Jason Paul Wells and wife, Jamie, and Phillip Andrew Wells and fiancé, Erica; his daughter, Dana Wells Harrell and husband, Jonathan; 8 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sisters, Helen Wells Baker and husband, Donald Ray and Sharon Wells Barwick and husband, Junior; his brothers, James Earl "Jamie" Wells and wife, Robin, and Calvin Lee Wells and wife, Jennifer; and many nieces, nephews.

A service was held September 5, 2024 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Rocky Mount, with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed the service at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
