NASHVILLE - James "Harold" Strickland, age 92, passed away August 18, 2024. He was born September 3, 1931, son of Charlie Rufus and Bessie Manning Strickland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter; sister, Esther Perkerson and brother, Charlie Rufus "Pete" Strickland, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Glendora Strickland; sons, James Glenn "Jimmy" Strickland (Robin) of Nashville and Jeffrey "Jeff" Strickland (Wendy) of Spring Hope; daughter, Robin Strickland Manning (Tim) of Wendell; brother, Eugene Strickland; sister, Barbara Davis; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Tabernacle of Praise, 1279 E Old Spring Hope Road, Nashville with Reverend Ray Vick officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11a.m.
