ROCKY MOUNT - William McBride "Bill" Griffith, age 82, passed away on August 6, 2024. Born in Dauphin County, PA on May 10, 1942, he was the son of the late James Maurice Griffith Jr. and Rae Elanore Norford Griffith Hess. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lewis Griffith, and his granddaughter, Alex Tweedy.

Bill is survived by his wife, Brenda Faye Griffith; his son, James Calvin "J.C." Griffith (Kim); his stepchildren, Susan Tweedy (Scott), Patti Anderson (Bill), and Adam Sullivan; 4 grandchildren; his sister, Kathy Griffith Hamilton (James); his niece, nephew, great nephews and great niece.

A memorial service will be held on August 17, 2024, at 11a.m. at Westside Church of Christ, 2551 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount with Rev. Dr. Bill Searcy officiating and Robbie Stokes assisting. Visitation with the family will be following the service at Westside Church of Christ.
