BATTLEBORO - Helen Harrell Raynor, "Doodle Bug," passed away August 11, 2024. She was born on October 26, 1937 in Nash County, daughter of Johnnie Roscoe Harrell and Betty Jackson Harrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Ray Raynor; daughter, Nancy Glancy; grandson, Chris Garris; sisters, Nita Harrell, Irene Casto and Lula Griffin Tharrington; and brothers, Grover Harrell, Tommy Harrell, Marvin Harrell and Bennie Harrell.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Garris of the home; sister, Christine Peace (Doug); 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at RiverBend Church, 9853 NC-97, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:30 p.m.
