ROCKY MOUNT - James "Jim" Arthur Bradley, Jr., age 78, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Born in Nash County Christmas Day in 1945, he was the son of the late James Bradley and Annie Shearin Bradley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Bradley; and his sister, Phyllis Bradley Ray.

He is survived by his children, James Arthur Bradley III of Jacksonville, FL, Jackie Bradley Headley (Dave) of Culpeper, VA, and Charley Bass Sills (Josh) of Red Oak; his grandchildren, Kassidy Bradley, Hazel Sills, and Isaac Sills.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Hickory Baptist Church, 12702 NC Highway 48, Whitakers with Pastor Wendy Edwards officiating. A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Hickory Baptist Church.
