NASHVILLE - Laronia Tyson Boone, age 85, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Born in Nash County on September 23, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Nathaniel Tyson and Nancy Pearl Winstead Tyson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thomas Boone.

Laronia is survived by her daughters, Paige New and husband, Marshall, of Nashville and Donna Wood and husband, Ernest, of Nashville; 4 grandchildren; her brother, Andrew Tyson of Nashville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Eddie Finch officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
