Gloria "Bumpie" Howard Barnes, 77, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born June 2, 1947 in Nash County to the late Melvin and Viola Bailey Howard. She was also preceded in death by brother, Joe Howard.

She is survived by her husband, Sidney Barnes; son, Allan Barnes (Suzi); brother, Pat Howard; step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with a funeral service to be held at 10 a.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
