NASHVILLE - Carolyn Daughtridge Godwin, age 74, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She was born in Rocky Mount on March 22, 1950 to Lester and Betty R. Daughtridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Butch" Godwin; sister, Marian Sallee; and brother, Marvin Daughtridge.

She is survived by her son, Pete Ricks (Angel) of Nashville; daughter, Kristy Wright of Battleboro; step-sons, Keith Godwin (Kathy) and Troy Godwin, all of Rocky Mount; brothers, Lester Daughtridge (Denise) of West Virginia, Richard Daughtridge (Robin), and Danny Daughtridge (Diane), all of Maryland; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; with many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

A service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2024 at RiverBend Church, 9853 NC 97, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 6 pm.
