John Willard Dunston, age 79 of Zebulon passed away June 27, 2024. He was born October 8, 1944 in Spring Hope, the oldest son of John and Lizzie Mae Dunston.

John is survived by 3 sons and one daughter: Stanley Dunston (Kari ) of Raleigh, Gary Dunston (Kelly) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Mateo "Rudy" Harrison of Denmark, and Aneisha Smith of Spring Hope; 4 grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Esther Mae Dunston, Minnie Lee Deans (Otto), Joe Dunston (Avon)and Michael Dunston (Linda), all of Spring Hope; great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that he cherished.

Funeral services were held July 3, 2024 at 2:00PM at William Toney's Funeral Home Chapel in Spring Hope. Interment followed at the Drewery Family Cemetery in Spring Hope.
