SPRING HOPE - Otis Megel Lowry, M.D., passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the age of 100.

He was born on December 12, 1923 in Lumberton to the late Martin Luther and Cammie Lowry.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Cammie Lowry; his wife, Frances Dale Sanderson Lowry; four brothers, Glenn, Garnett, Marton Jr., and Truett; and two sisters, Eulalia and Daphne.

Surviving are his three daughters, Martha Jan Lowry, Cammie Lowry Read (Hank) and Frances Lowry Glover ( Clifton); 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Brantley Lowry, and two sisters, Shirley Lowry and Maxine Chavis.

A family graveside memorial service will be held at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in loving memory to Nash Hospice and Palliative Care, 2469 Curtis Ellis Drive, Building 100, Rocky Mount, NC 27804; Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church, 202 E. Branch Street, Spring Hope, NC 27882; or to a meaningful charity of your choice.
